Red Blend

Red Blend Image

Tasting Notes:

Edward Riou captained one of these ships, The Guardian. A provisions ship that struck an iceberg when sailing to Cape of Good Hope to take on more supplies. It was quickly in danger of sinking, never making it to Australia.

Wonderful berry fruit on the nose with integrated oak notes woven throughout. Black cherry and blackberries mingle with spice leading to a rich wine with an elegant finish.

Tasting Notes:

Captain John Marshall spent his life at sea, learning the decks from 10 years of age. He took charge of the Scarborough from 1784 and captained her for the famous voyage. During this time several convicts plotted a mutiny against Marshall, however, he was aware of this plan and ensured the plotters were disciplined by chaining them to the deck.

Sophisticated aromas of blackberry, plum and violets complemented by a harmonious palate of dark berry fruits and a lingering vanilla oak finish.
